XperienCentral R42

In our continuous effort to improve XperienCentral, we're excited to show XperienCentral release 42. It is the first in a series of releases that focus on user experience, hybrid features and lifecycle management.

New login page design

While the functionality remains intact, the login page has received a refreshing makeover. This design update offers a sneak peek of what's to come as we evolve and refine the XC experience.

Dependency upgrades

This release includes updates to several core dependencies. Dependencies like Spring 5, SOLR 9, Javax Servlet 4, and HTTP Components Library 5 are among the major upgrades. Alongside these substantial changes, numerous other dependency updates have been integrated. These updates reflect our commitment to a cutting-edge CMS, ensuring that all components are up-to-date and optimized.

Other improvements and bugfixes

We have addressed some minor bugs found in the Advanced Search and Layout switching features introduced in Release 41. These refinements enhance the usability and reliability of these functionalities, ensuring a smoother experience for all users. Additionally, this release includes an array of other improvements and bugfixes as well.

• Some modular content property configuration options had no effect and are removed
• Minified JavaScript from IAF

• Exporting a form with an error results in a partial zip file
• Mediapages in content overviews may not reflect the correct publication status
• Publication status is no longer shown in Advanced Search
• Content wrongly imported from another channel within the same installation
• External link with onClick attribute freezes the Edit environment
• Layout with flat single line field mode not working as first element on a new page
• Page metadata template added with unchecked option
• Checking 'new window' in the Link Behaviors panel does not open a link in new window
• Imported modular content templates are inactive and not required
• Selecting an item without existing language version in the Site Structure tree doesn't work properly
• Selected items are not synchronized when switching between Advanced Search views 
• Sorting in Advanced Search behaves unpredictably
• Some CSP setting combinations may make XC unreachable
• Content from wrong layout is used when switching layouts on page with multiple layouts
• Layout loop fields disappear when defining a new layout
• Image focus point is not imported
• Only the first buttons in IAF handlers work
• 404 error is shown on pop-up link behavior
• Modular content image properties cannot be reset to an empty value
• Removed item is still shown in a Content Overview selection
• Redirect target is shown in wrong language
